On December 6, 2026, he will perform a concert at SOFIA LIVE CLUB, at the invitation of Sofia Live Festival, as part of a special European tour marking 20 years since the hit “This Is What You Are”.
The event focuses on the song that changed the course of his career – a composition that has become a modern soul-jazz classic and a starting point for international success.
With his warm, rich voice and sophisticated musical presence, Mario Biondi is building a career inspired by legendary figures such as Barry White and Isaac Hayes, but with his own, distinctive style. His breakthrough came with the album Handful of Soul (2006), followed by a series of successful releases and collaborations with names such as Burt Bacharach and Chaka Khan, which confirmed his position as one of the most successful Italian figures on the international scene.
In 2025, the artist celebrates the 20th anniversary of “This Is What You Are” with a new version recorded with leading musicians from the world jazz scene, including Dennis Chambers, John Patitucci and Till Brönner. This release not only pays homage to the original, but also emphasizes its timelessness and relevance today.
With concerts in over 50 countries and dozens of albums behind him, Mario Biondi continues to develop his rich and emotionally saturated sound. His live performances bring a sense of class and intimacy – music that is not just listened to, but experienced.
