GRAMMY winner and one of the strongest contemporary soul and R&B voices, Ledisi, is coming to Bulgaria for the first time. On November 24, 2026, she will perform an exclusive concert at Sofia Live Club at the invitation of Sofia Live Festival, presenting her unique vocal talent and rich musical history to the Bulgarian audience.
The concert comes after the release of her new album For Dinah, a tribute to the legendary Dinah Washington, produced by jazz master Christian McBride and her longtime collaborator Rex Rideout. Her work on this project combines her own, distinctive soulful style with Washington’s strength and spirit, as a result of which Ledisi pays well-deserved tribute to the artist who paved the way for generations of women in music. The album includes collaborations with Gregory Porter, Paul Jackson Jr. and Michael King, and the video for “You Go To My Head” (feat. Paul Jackson Jr.) demonstrates her impressive stage presence.
Born in New Orleans and artistically shaped by the Bay Area music scene, she has forged her own interpretation of soul, R&B and jazz. Ledisi has established herself as a leading voice in contemporary R&B with a GRAMMY Award and 14 nominations. She impresses not only with her own work, but also with her interpretations of musical icons such as Nina Simone and Mahalia Jackson, which have brought her international recognition and high critical acclaim. Her ability to combine dramatic power, technicality and intimacy makes her an artist with a stage presence of the highest class.
“Before there was Aretha, there was Dinah,” says Ledisi of the inspiration behind her new project, words that clearly outline her mission to pay homage to her roots while continuing the conversation about representation, female power and sustainability in the music industry.
The audience in Sofia will have the opportunity to hear songs from For Dinah live, as well as a selection of the strongest moments of her career. An evening where jazz, soul and R&B will meet in an emotional, stylish and deeply personal stage experience.
