After her unforgettable performance at the fourth edition of Sofia Live Festival, Selah Sue returns to Sofia for an exclusive club concert on May 15th at SOFIA LIVE CLUB, at the invitation of the festival. The event will be special not only because of the rare opportunity to see an artist of such magnitude in an intimate club environment, but also because it will mark the 17th birthday of Sofia Live Club.
This concert presents Selah Sue and The Gallands – a new, inspiring project born from the meeting between the iconic voice of the Belgian scene with father and son Stéphane and Elvin Galland. Initially built around The Gallands‘ musical universe, combining naturally pulsating rhythms, contemporary jazz and modern production, the project takes on a new dimension when Selah Sue transforms instrumental compositions into strong, emotionally charged songs with powerful stage energy.
On stage and in the studio, the trio achieves a rare balance between the virtuosity of Stéphane Galland (Aka Moon, Ibrahim Maalouf), the bold and fresh style of Elvin Galland (Damso, Helena, Manu Katché) and the inimitable presence and voice of Selah Sue. The result is music without genre limitations, in which soul, jazz, groove and contemporary influences meet in a lively and energetic whole.
Their first concert on the Jazz Middelheim stage has already revealed a strong and immediate chemistry between the musicians and outlined the direction of this new creative partnership. Selah Sue and The Gallands are currently working on their debut album, which will document this meeting between soul, jazz and contemporary groove, and the concert at Sofia Live Club is part of the planned tour in 2026. The project is presented in an expanded live format with Louise van den Heuvel (bass), Stéphane Galland (drums) and Elvin Galland (keyboards), as well as the impressive backing vocals of Stéphanie Rugurika and Judith Okon.
The concert at Sofia Live Club will be the only opportunity for the Bulgarian audience to experience this project in a club format, close to the stage, without distance and with a focus on live musical communication. Selah Sue and The Gallands promise free, pulsating and deeply alive music, in which each performance is a unique experience.
A limited number of Early Bird tickets are available only at www.sofialivefest.com, and on February 2nd, sales will also start in the Eventim network and partner box offices.
