On June 27 and 28, 2026, Vidas Art Arena in Borisova Gradina will once again become the epicenter of live music. After June 27 already marked an explosive start with IDLES and Three Days Grace, SOFIA LIVE FESTIVAL adds a new, powerful climax to its program. On June 28, the stage will be entrusted to UNDERWORLD, the duo that has defined the spirit of contemporary electronic music for more than three decades.
Rick Smith and Karl Hyde are behind one of the most influential electronic projects in the history of music. From the iconic dubnobasswithmyheadman to the generational anthem “Born Slippy (Nuxx)” soundtrack to the cult film Trainspotting, UNDERWORLD don’t just make music, they shape culture.
2025 marks a new strong stage for the duo, their debut at Boiler Room garnering over a million views in a matter of days, and with the re-release of their first seven studio albums, they all simultaneously topped the charts, an unprecedented achievement. With a sold-out US tour, headlining appearances at leading international festivals and collaborations with artists such as Brutalismus 3000, KETTAMA and KI/KI, UNDERWORLD continue to be both an institution and a driver of the future in electronic music. Live, they create a hypnotic flow of sound and light – a concert that gradually grows into a collective euphoria and dance without borders.
The festival weekend starts on June 27 with a high dose of adrenaline in the presence of IDLES and Three Days Grace, who return in full force. They are also joined by KOIKOI, one of the most exciting new names on the Balkan alternative scene, as well as Bulgarian artist Strugare, who adds a strong local presence with his own distinctive sound and stage dynamics.

Based in Belgrade, KOIKOI blend raw energy and genre freedom between indie rock, electronica and post-punk. After over 130 concerts in 16 European countries, a nomination for the Music Moves Europe Award and appearances at festivals such as Reeperbahn, EuropaVox and Exit, the band has established itself as one of the most exciting new acts from the region.
With UNDERWORLD at the head of the program on June 28th and a powerful rock charge on June 27th, the sixth edition of SOFIA LIVE FESTIVAL shapes a program that moves from rock energy to hypnotic electronic catharsis, a natural extension of the festival’s mission to meet different generations and genres on one stage.
