One of the brightest and most recognizable bassists and experimental musicians on the contemporary scene, MONONEON, will perform his first club concert in Bulgaria on March 13 at SOFIA LIVE CLUB, at the invitation of Sofia Live Festival.
A GRAMMY winner, MONONEON is an artist with a bright and unconventional style that intertwines avant-garde, funk and soul. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he gained worldwide popularity both with his active online presence and as one of the last musicians to work with Prince.
Over the years, MONONEON has also collaborated with names such as Mavis Staples, George Clinton, Nas, Ne-Yo, Mac Miller, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Kingfish, Pete Rock and many others. In 2020, he won a GRAMMY for his participation in Nas’s album King’s Disease, a project that solidified his place among the most influential musicians of his generation.
His stage career includes appearances at prestigious festivals such as the Newport Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz Festival, GroundUp, Blue Note Jazz Festival and many others. In parallel, MONONEON is also a recognizable face for leading music and lifestyle brands, including Fender, Bang & Olufsen, Digitech and Stance.
